DMFoppervlaktebehandeling has many years’ experience in the field of the application of coatings to industrial products. For the application of a good coating, a correct pre-treatment is required. Each product requires a pre-treatment adjusted to the substrate and the area of application.

In a fully computer controlled series of baths, the products receive a chemical pre-treatment. Due to the control of the process times and chemical aspects, consistent quality of pre-treatment is guaranteed.

Aluminium

As a result of 10 years of research and participation in European projects, DMFoppervlaktebehandeling has gathered extensive knowledge about the possibilities of the new generations of conversion coating. DMFoppervlaktebehandeling has over 6 years’ experience in the application of chromefree conversion coating to industrial products and to parts for the motorcar industry. These layers are on the basis of Zirconium/Polymers en Zirconium/Manganese. This new generation of conversion coating is used particularly for aluminium, but will also be applied to other metals in the near future. The systems used have meanwhile received international recognition and are increasingly required by the industry, aviation, the automotive and building sectors.

Depending on the application and the corrosion load, a phosphate coating is applied to steel. This may consist of zinc phosphate, manganese phosphate or iron phosphate, whether or not with a passivation of phosphate coating. In addition to the chemical pre-treatment, steel can also be pre-treated mechanically, by means of jet techniques.

Galvanized iron

We deal with several kinds of galvanized steel:

Sendzimir galvanized
Dip bath galvanized
Zincor galvanized
Electrolytical galvanized with clear, yellow or black passivation.

Each product requires a pre-treatment adjusted to the substrate and the area of application. This may vary from chromating, phosphating to jet-spraying.
